A Daily Journal Prompts update (Don’t worry, they’re not going away)
Daily Journal Prompts - 14 April 2025
I am making some changes to the Daily Journal Prompts, for reasons outlined below.
Starting this week, the newsletter will now be published twice a week — on Mondays and Thursdays — instead of daily.
But don’t worry, the name still stands tall.
On Mondays, you’ll receive prompts for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursdays, you’ll get prompts for Thursday through Sunday.
That’s still seven days worth of prompts — just delivered more mindfully.
This change comes from two places:
Your feedback: Many of you mentioned email overload and said you’d prefer fewer episodes with more prompts to pick from.
More time to build something bigger: This newsletter started as a passion project — and it still is. Journaling has helped me navigate career changes, grief, self-doubt, and everyday chaos. I’ve been working on a much bigger collection of prompts that anyone can access at anytime.
By sending fewer emails, I’ll have the time and space to create that resource — while still giving you high-quality prompts every week.
Thank you for being here, truly. Whether you journal every day or just reflect when you can, this space was built for you.
Now, onto this week’s prompts!
This Week’s Prompts (Mon - Wed):
Theme: Guiding the start of your week
This week’s themes are designed to guide your week, from building energy to facing what’s in the way to tuning in to what matters most:
1 - What are two things I must do today to feel accomplished?
2 - What kind of energy do I want to bring into this week?
3 - Where do I feel resistance right now, and what’s behind it?
4 - What task or decision keeps getting pushed aside, and what story am I telling myself about it?
5 - What’s something I’ve been avoiding, and why does it matter?
6 - What truth do I need to acknowledge to move forward?
Get the most out of your journalling:
Choose one prompt: Focus on just one prompt each day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Be brutally honest: Reflect openly and honestly. This is your safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.
Take your time: Sometimes it takes a few days to clarify your thinking. Here’s permission for you to take your time to unravel a prompt and not take on any new ones during that time.
Journal your way: Whether you prefer writing, audio recording, or video, choose the method that suits you best.
Don't stress about streaks: If you miss a day, don't worry. You can always revisit a previous prompt.
I’d love your feedback
Let me know what you think of this new format — I’d love to hear from you.
Keep growing,
Suren
