Episode #50

Daily Journal Prompts - 10 October 2024

Today celebrates 50 days of Daily Journal Prompts.

I started the newsletter as a passion project, hoping others could also benefit.

I’ve been journaling for my entire adult life and have found tremendous benefits across four areas:

  • Being a better person (in terms of my habits, my actions and general behaviour)

  • Coping with my dad and grandparents' deaths

  • Gaining clarity about where I want to go and what I want to do

  • Accelerating my career progression

While reading online, I saw that many people struggled with what to write about, and I felt I could add some value there.

I had decided to do around 50 episodes and then decide what to do next.

I was also worried about the intensity of posting daily.

I must say, it has been incredibly fun so far. At no point has it felt like a chore.

I can’t wait to take it forward and see where it goes.

Thank you for being here. I really appreciate you for it ❤️

Today’s Prompts

1 - Pride

What milestone am I most proud of?

2 - Growth

What is a personal milestone I’m currently working toward? How will I celebrate when I cross it?

3 - Quote of the day

“The safest road to hell is the gradual one - the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts.” - C. S. Lewis

4 - The 'If you don’t have time’ Prompt

What milestones am I currently working towards?

Get the most out of your journalling:

  • Choose one prompt: Focus on just one prompt each day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  • Be brutally honest: Reflect openly and honestly. This is your safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

  • Take your time: Sometimes it takes a few days to clarify your thinking. Here’s permission for you to take your time to unravel a prompt and not take on any new ones during that time.

  • Journal your way: Whether you prefer writing, audio recording, or video, choose the method that suits you best.

  • Don't stress about streaks: If you miss a day, don't worry. You can always revisit a previous prompt.

I’d love your feedback
