How close are you to a breakthrough?
Daily Journal Prompts - 23 March 2025
When I was a kid, my summers were split between endless fun and something much harder—math lessons with my grandad.
My brother and I would stay at our grandparents' house, and every day, without fail, my grandad would sit us down for math lessons that were far more advanced than what we learned in school.
I dreaded those sessions. The questions felt impossible. I never had the answers. And they could go on for hours.
But my grandad wasn’t interested in the answers—he wanted to see how we thought.
Were we breaking down the problem? Were we thinking logically? Were we understanding why things worked the way they did?
And then, something changed.
One day, things just started to click.
The concepts that once felt impossible now made sense. The struggle turned into confidence. And every year, when I returned to school, math felt easier because of the work I had put in.
It was my first real lesson in persistence.
How many times do we quit just before something clicks?
Before a business idea finally works
Before a new skill becomes second nature
Before a challenge turns into a strength
Progress isn’t always obvious, but breakthroughs only happen when we keep going.
How close are you to your next breakthrough?

3 - What’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to push through?
I’d love your feedback
