How many days do you actually remember?
Daily Journal Prompts - 6 April 2025
Think back to the past five years. What stands out?
Chances are, you remember the biggest moments—the promotions, the trips, the celebrations. Y
ou might also recall the hardest times—the losses, the failures, the heartbreaks.
But what about the days in between?
Most of life consists of ordinary days, and yet we tend to forget them. They blur together into a routine, lost in the background of our most vivid memories.
It makes me wonder: How can we create more memorable moments instead of just letting time slip by?
Because the truth is, fun and meaningful experiences aren’t just things that happen to us, they’re within our control.
We don’t need to wait for big promotions, exotic vacations, or dramatic life changes to make life memorable.
We can:
Say yes to spontaneous plans.
Learn a new skill or challenge ourselves with something exciting.
Be present and fully engaged in the everyday moments.
Do things differently—switch up routines, explore new places, take a different approach.
Prioritise experiences over endless productivity.
It’s easy to let time pass without intention. But if we want a life filled with great memories, we have to build them.
Otherwise, we’ll look back and realise we were just living on autopilot.
How will you make today a day worth remembering?
