How would you describe yourself?

Today’s journal prompt is a bit different.

It’s a short exercise I recommend you do every quarter or half yearly. It’s great for self-awareness!

It’s helped me narrow the gap between the person I am and the person I want to be.

It takes just ten minutes to complete but can have a long-lasting impact on your life.

Give it a go, and let me know what you think!

Today’s Prompt

Do the following in order:

1 - Create four columns on a piece of paper or a document. Label the first column Description, second column Family, third column Friends and last column Co-Workers.

2 - In the first column, describe your ideal self using ten different words or phrases. One word or phrase per row. This forms your ideal identity or brand.

3 - In each of the other columns, put a tick mark if you feel the audience would agree with your description and a cross where they won’t.

4 - Go through the crosses and reflect on how you can bridge the gaps.

That’s it! Now you know the areas you need to work on for the next quarter or half yearly.

Are there any specific areas you want prompts for?
