How you respond matters
Daily Journal Prompts - 13 February 2025
The first day of our holiday was mostly rained out.
We still explored Lisbon, but spent most of our time making sure we don’t slip on the tiled streets.
When our apartment was finally ready, we unpacked our bags and spent some time planning the next couple of days.
We discovered two things within minutes of each other:
My wife left her brand new e-reader on the plane
Our next hotel turned out to be 90 minutes drive away from where we thought it would be (we fell for their misleading marketing)
At that moment, things could have deteriorated quickly. We were both annoyed, mostly at ourselves, for the negligience.
But we looked at each other, and just started laughing.
And that was it. Mistakes made. Lessons learned. Time to move on.
Today’s Prompts
How you respond matters
How can embracing uncertainty help you grow as a person?
What’s a time when a small setback ruined your mood? For how long did it affect your mood? How could you have handled it better?
How can you remind yourself to stay calm in stressful situations?
Quote of the day

The 'If you don’t have time’ Prompt
What’s something frustrating that you can laugh about now?
Get the most out of your journalling:
Choose one prompt: Focus on just one prompt each day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Be brutally honest: Reflect openly and honestly. This is your safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.
Take your time: Sometimes it takes a few days to clarify your thinking. Here’s permission for you to take your time to unravel a prompt and not take on any new ones during that time.
Journal your way: Whether you prefer writing, audio recording, or video, choose the method that suits you best.
Don't stress about streaks: If you miss a day, don't worry. You can always revisit a previous prompt.
I’d love your feedback
