If someone followed you for a day ...

Daily Journal Prompts - 22 May 2025

Today, I have an exercise that helps you zoom out:

Think through every single thing you did yesterday:

You woke up up, checked your phone, exercised, got ready, worked, ate, maybe scroll a bit too much.

If someone was asked to follow you for the entire day, and had to write a report, what would they say?

Would they say you were clear on your priorities? That you lived with intention? That you made space for your most important goals?

Or would they say you were pulled around by distractions? That your actions didn’t quite align with your values?

This thought exercise isn’t about perfection. It’s about honesty.

It’s easy to believe our lives are defined by what we intend to do.

But when someone watches — all they see is what we actually do.

So what would they learn about you?

Today’s prompts are about aligning how you live with what you believe.

This Week’s Prompts (Thursday - Sunday)

1 - If someone observed me for an entire day, what would they report about me?

2 - Do my actions consistently reflect what I say I value?

3 - What’s one small behaviour I can change to better reflect who I want to be?

4 - What’s one thing I’d be proud to see myself do from a distance?

Get the most out of your journalling:

  • Choose one prompt: Focus on just one prompt each day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  • Be brutally honest: Reflect openly and honestly. This is your safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

  • Take your time: Sometimes it takes a few days to clarify your thinking. Here’s permission for you to take your time to unravel a prompt and not take on any new ones during that time.

  • Journal your way: Whether you prefer writing, audio recording, or video, choose the method that suits you best.

  • Don't stress about streaks: If you miss a day, don't worry. You can always revisit a previous prompt.

I’d love your feedback
