Seek laughter

Daily Journal Prompts - 14 January 2025

A few weeks ago, I had a fairly stressful few days.

In the midst of that, I had lunch with my family.

We spent half the time just laughing and joking about things, and it changed my entire outlook for the day.

I felt lighter, and it reminded me to keep seeking laughter and to not take life too seriously.

Yes, there will be stressful moments. Yes, there will be times when you need to be serious.

But these should not be at the expense of laughter.

It is scientifically proven to reduce stress, anxiety, self-esteem and depression.

Why wouldn’t you seek it out?
