Things I’ve let go of — and haven’t missed

Daily Journal Prompts - 10 April 2025

Growth isn’t always about adding more.

Sometimes, it’s about letting go.

Over the years, I’ve dropped habits, people, and expectations that weighed me down.

And the surprising part? I don’t miss any of them.

Letting go has created space for the things that actually matter.

Here are a few things I’ve let go of:

  1. Two friends who only talked about themselves

  2. A toxic boss, even though I really enjoyed the job and team

  3. Social media (until I recently reinstalled them for my business)

  4. Drinking alcohol socially (or the idea that it makes things more fun)

  5. The feeling of FOMO (the idea that I’ll feel bad when I miss gatherings)

So, think about what you’re still holding onto and whether it deserves to come with you into your next chapter.

Today’s Prompts

1 - What are you afraid might happen if you let go of something or someone?

2 - What would a lighter version of your life look like?

I’d love your feedback
