Valentine's Day Prompts

Daily Journal Prompts - 14 February 2025

Today is a day no one can ignore.

Either you are in a relationship, and are have made plans, or you aren’t in one and see reminders of Valentine’s Day everywhere.

Either way, it is a great time to reflect.

I spend a bit of time in the morning reflecting using some of these prompts below.

And then my wife and I have a heart-to-heart talk over burgers (most of the time McDonalds) for dinner.

When we were dating, we had a couple of serious conversations at McDonalds, so that became THE place to go for Valentine’s Day.

But the location is not important, it’s the reflection and conversation that’s important.

Here are some prompts to answer, whether you are in a relationship or not.

Today’s Prompts

If you are in a relationship

How has your partner helped you become a better person? How have you helped your partner become a better person?

How have you resolved conflicts and solved challenges? Is there anything you want to improve?

If you are not in a relationship

How do you show yourself love and care?

What does love mean to you beyond romantic relationships?

Who in your life deserves a heartfelt ‘thank you’ for their love and support?

Get the most out of your journalling:

  • Choose one prompt: Focus on just one prompt each day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  • Be brutally honest: Reflect openly and honestly. This is your safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

  • Take your time: Sometimes it takes a few days to clarify your thinking. Here’s permission for you to take your time to unravel a prompt and not take on any new ones during that time.

  • Journal your way: Whether you prefer writing, audio recording, or video, choose the method that suits you best.

  • Don't stress about streaks: If you miss a day, don't worry. You can always revisit a previous prompt.

I’d love your feedback
