What are the best things in your life right now?
Daily Journal Prompts - 23 November 2024
By now, you have probably realised that I generally focus on the positive prompts in this newsletter.
In my experience, if we experience anything negative, chances are it has entered our thoughts multiple times throughout the day.
But it is rare to spend time thinking about positive things.
Our life has a lot of positive things if we just pause to think about them and look around.
So, this is a prompt that I like to use once a month to remind myself that many great things are going on.
Yes, money is tight. Yes, I’ve just started my business, so I don’t have any sales. Yes, my wife has a job that requires long hours, so we see each other less.
Yet, I get to live my dream of running my own business. We have planned our financials carefully so we can still enjoy holidays even if the day-to-day is tight. Most importantly, our couple's time is more precious than before.
Don’t ever forget about the positive things in life.
Today’s Prompts
Positive thinking
What are the best things in your life right now? They can be from any area of your life, such as relationships, financial, activities, hobbies, professional, etc.
Quote of the day
“Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.” - Zig Ziglar
The 'If you don’t have time’ Prompt
What are you most proud of accomplishing this year so far?
Get the most out of your journalling:
Choose one prompt: Focus on just one prompt each day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Be brutally honest: Reflect openly and honestly. This is your safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.
Take your time: Sometimes it takes a few days to clarify your thinking. Here’s permission for you to take your time to unravel a prompt and not take on any new ones during that time.
Journal your way: Whether you prefer writing, audio recording, or video, choose the method that suits you best.
Don't stress about streaks: If you miss a day, don't worry. You can always revisit a previous prompt.
I’d love your feedback
