Writing your eulogy

Daily Journal Prompts - 13 November 2024

Writing your eulogy might sound morbid, but it can be a powerful exercise in self-reflection.

By imagining the words people would say about you, you’re encouraged to define your own legacy.

What were your greatest achievements?

How are you remembered?

How does everyone feel about you?

Most importantly, it helps you reflect and think about whether that is how you want to be remembered.

It was a great motivator for me to change my habits and be more intentional with my life.

Today’s Prompts

Self-reflection exercise

Part 1: Write your ideal eulogy. What will your top accomplishments be? What values would you want people to remember you by? How would you want your legacy to inspire others?

Part 2: Reflect and think about whether that is how you want to be remembered? If not, how would you like to be remembered and what steps can you take to become that person?

I’d love your feedback
